How do I get my product displayed on the Hotmart Marketplace?

The Hotmart Marketplace is a search space where people looking to learn something new can find courses, ebooks, and other digital content.

In this article, you will learn the technical requirements for your product to appear, how the search system works, and how to manage your content's visibility for potential buyers.

 

What is the Hotmart Marketplace? 

The Marketplace works like an online catalog for products that use Hotmart technology. It allows buyers to search for specific terms, categories, or creator names.

As an official Hotmart promotional channel, it allows you to showcase your products for free, helping you gain more visibility and, of course, increasing your chances of making a sale.

 

What are the requirements for my product to be listed? 

For the system to consider your product eligible for display, you must meet a few technical configuration criteria: 

  • You must distribute your product through Hotmart, using the platform's Members Area
  • Your Hotmart Product Page must be completed, configured, and set to "Published" status. 
  • Your product must be available for sale with active and configured checkouts. 

 

How do I configure the information shown on the Marketplace? 

What appears on the Marketplace depends directly on the information you enter on your Product Page. To set this up, follow these steps: 

  1. Log in to your Hotmart account at : https://app.hotmart.com .
  2. In the side menu, select Products, then My Products.
  3. Choose the product you want to edit.
  4. In the product's internal menu, select Product Page.
  5. In the Marketplace section, click Edit.
  6. Fill in the requested information: the default offer that will appear on the page, keywords, whether you want to promote your other products at the bottom of the page, etc.
  7. After entering the information and enabling display in the Hotmart Marketplace section, click Publish.

It’s important to note that this page is different from an external sales page or pages created on Hotmart Pages. 

  • Product Page (Marketplace): This is the page generated by Hotmart where the product is listed in the internal search. It follows the platform's standard layout.
  • External Sales Page: This is the site or page you build outside of Hotmart or using Hotmart Pages. Settings on your external page (such as sales videos or countdown timers) do not automatically migrate to the Marketplace page.

 

How can I manage or remove my product from the Marketplace? 

You have total control over your product's visibility in the catalog. If you change your sales strategy and no longer want your product to be found publicly, you can change its visibility status.

In the Product Page settings, you can choose to disable the Marketplace display. This will remove the product from Hotmart’s search results, but your promotional links will remain active so you can still send them directly to your customers.

Important: If you delete a specific offer, make sure to update it on your Product Page as well. 

 

Frequently asked questions

How do I disable review/ comments on the Marketplace page? 

In the Product Page editor, there is an option to show or hide buyer reviews. When disabled, the rating and comments will no longer be public on the Marketplace. 

Can I have a product on the Marketplace without an external sales page? 

Yes. The Marketplace Product Page can serve as your main sales page.

Why doesn’t the video from my external page show up on the Marketplace?

You must manually configure the video within the Marketplace tab of the Product Page settings. The system does not automatically pull videos from external sales links due to format and permission differences.

Why can't I find my product in the search results? 

After publishing or editing information, it may take a few minutes for the system to update the database and display the product in search results.

How does the display algorithm work? 

The display order is not fixed. The search algorithm prioritizes the buyer's experience, taking into account factors such as:

  • Whether all Product Page fields are completed.
  • Technical compliance.
  • How relevant the user's search term is to your product's keywords.
