How to Set Up the Cocreation Model for Your Product?
Sharing the management and results of a digital product requires a precise setup to ensure all parties receive their shares automatically and securely. On the Hotmart platform, you have the flexibility to define how your partnership is structured and how earnings are distributed.
In this article, you will find step-by-step instructions to set up new cocreators, learn how to edit active contracts, and discover the rules for partnerships with international cocreators.
Important: This article covers settings for international accounts. For information on settings for Brazilian accounts, check the article in Portuguese.
In the side menu, click Products, then My Products, and select the desired product.
Inside the product menu, click the Cocreations tab.
Click Invite Cocreator and enter your partner's email address.
Define their role, commission percentage, contract duration, and the chosen model.
Read the Cocreation Terms of Use, accept them, and click Continue.
Review the contract information and click Send cocreation invitation.
Important: The partnership only becomes active once the Cocreator accepts the invitation within their own account. Please note that sales made before this acceptance are not split retroactively.
How Do I View My Cocreation Change History?
Hotmart allows you to easily track and review changes made to a Cocreation over time. To access the change log:
Go to the Cocreations tab within your product.
Find the specific Cocreator in the list.
Click the three dots icon (Actions) in the corresponding column.
Select Change History.
On this screen, you can see what was changed and when, who requested it, and the status (such as Approved by Cocreator, Declined, or Pending Approval).
Where Can I Track Accounting Data for My Cocreations?
You can track accounting values related to sales made by the creator, cocreator (in both available models), or affiliate. Learn how to access the report here.
If you use tax automation tools like eNotas, this data is integrated automatically, making it easier to issue invoices.

❯ Why can’t my cocreator accept the invitation?
If your cocreator sees an error message or is blocked
from accepting, the most common reason is an incomplete
profile. The cocreator must:
Complete all registration data under My Account.
Upload and receive approval for their identification
documents.
Validate their bank details for withdrawals.
The acceptance button may remain disabled until these
steps are completed for compliance and financial security
reasons.
❯ How do I edit an active cocreation?
If your agreement changes and you need to adjust the
commission or model, you can edit the current contract:
Go to the cocreations tab within
your product.
Locate the cocreator and click the
three dots icon (Actions).
Select cocreation Models.
Choose the new model or adjust the percentage.
Save your changes.
The cocreator must accept the changes in their account
before the new terms apply to future sales.
❯ Will sales made before acceptance be split automatically?
No. Cocreation settings and updates are
not retroactive. Earnings will only
be split for sales made after the Cocreator
accepts the invitation. If you launch your product before
they accept, the creator will receive 100% of those sales.
Ensure the setup is complete before starting your sales
campaigns.
❯ How can the Cocreator manage sales links and tracking?
Once they accept the invitation, the Cocreator gains
access to sales data. If they also need access to promotional
links or other product settings, you can grant these
permissions through the Collaborators Center.

❯ Can I have an international cocreator?
OThe payout currency always follows the creator’s account
settings. If the product is registered in Brazil, the
Cocreator will be commissioned in
Brazilian Real (BRL). In this case,
the cocreator must have a Hotmart Brazil
account and a Brazilian bank account
to withdraw funds.
If the partner does not reside in the same country as
the creator’s registration, they have two options:
Update their current registration:
They can contact our Help Center to request a change
of country. This requires proof of residence for
the new country.
Create a new account: They can create
a separate Hotmart account using the details (address,
ID, and bank account) corresponding to the creator's
country.
