How do I set up the Tracking Pixel on my product?

The Tracking Pixel is a tool that allows you to track actions taken by visitors and buyers on pages related to your product on Hotmart. Based on this data, you can monitor the purchase journey, evaluate ad performance, and support your strategies with accurate information.

In this article, you’ll learn how to set up the pixel on Hotmart, which events can be tracked, and which providers are available for integration.

What is the Tracking Pixel?

The Tracking Pixel is a code provided by an external platform, such as Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, or other media and analytics tools. When configured on Hotmart, this code allows specific events to be sent to the selected provider.

These events help identify important actions taken by visitors and buyers, such as accessing a checkout page or completing a purchase. With this data, you can better track your campaign performance and understand which channels are contributing to your product’s results.

On Hotmart, the pixel is configured by product. This means you need to choose the product you want to track and then select the provider that will receive the events.

How do I set up the Tracking Pixel on Hotmart?

Before you begin, have the pixel ID provided by the platform you want to integrate with. This ID is generated directly by the provider, and its format may vary depending on the tool selected.

To set up the pixel on Hotmart, follow the steps below:

  1. Access your account on the platform through the link: https://app.hotmart.com.
  2. In the left-side menu, click Tools and then Show all.
  3. Search for Tracking Pixel.
  4. Select the product you want to integrate the pixel with.
  5. Choose the provider you want to configure.
  6. Enter the provider’s pixel ID.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Select the types of events you want to track. In this same step, carefully review the advanced settings.
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Finally, select how you want to send the events: Web, Conversions API, or both.
  11. To finish, click Save.

After saving, the pixel will be configured and ready to use for the selected product.

Important: depending on the selected provider, some of the steps above may not be available for configuration.

We recommend customizing the values sent through the pixel. This setting helps define which information will be sent to the provider and should be reviewed carefully before completing the integration. To better understand this step, check the article about advanced Tracking Pixel settings.

Which events can I track?

When setting up the pixel, you can choose which events you want to send to the provider. Availability may vary depending on the selected integration, but the main events are:

  • Completed sales: lets you track how many people completed the purchase and reached your product’s thank-you page.
  • Visits to the checkout page: lets you identify how many people accessed your product’s checkout page.
  • Visits to the Hotmart product page: lets you track how many people visited the Hotmart product page.

Choose the events according to the type of analysis you want to perform on the external platform. For example, if you want to track completed purchases, the completed sales event is essential. If you want to understand how many people reached the checkout stage, the visits to the checkout page event can help with that analysis.

Which pixel providers are available on Hotmart?

Hotmart allows you to configure pixels from different providers. Each integration has its own details, so we recommend accessing the specific article for the provider you want to use before completing the setup.

Below, you’ll find specific articles with all the setup details for the available providers:

These articles help you check the details for each provider, such as where to find the pixel ID and which settings need to be completed outside Hotmart.

Attention: if you didn’t find the pixel you use in the list of available providers, you can suggest a new integration directly through the tracking tool. To do this, go to Tools > Tracking Pixel and, at the bottom of the page, click Suggest service.
