In addition to the free option, some users may see features related to the Premium version of the WhatsApp integration, which offered more complete automation and support features. However, new subscriptions to the Premium version are no longer available. To expand your use of WhatsApp and access communication features for leads and customers, you need to subscribe to Hotmart Send.

What is the WhatsApp integration with Hotmart?
The WhatsApp integration with Hotmart allows you to use WhatsApp as a communication channel with potential and current customers. Depending on the solution available in your account, you can recover abandoned carts, send automatic messages, organize contacts, and track results.
With the available features, you can:
- recover abandoned carts with automatic messages;
- organize leads and customer contacts;
- track contacts captured through forms;
- create automations for specific events;

What are the options for using WhatsApp on Hotmart?
There are currently two options related to using WhatsApp on Hotmart: the free version for abandoned cart recovery and the communication features available through Hotmart Send.
Free with abandoned cart recovery
In the free version, Hotmart provides an abandoned cart automation using Hotmart’s own number. This means that when a potential customer starts a purchase but does not complete the payment, they may receive a recovery message through WhatsApp.
This solution is available in Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. If you have a Hotmart account and sell your products through the platform, you can use this feature without linking an exclusive number or making advanced settings.
The free model is enabled automatically for all products registered on Hotmart, as long as:
- the Producer responsible for the product is from Brazil, Colombia, or Mexico;
- the Producer does not have a Premium plan for the WhatsApp integration on Hotmart;
- the product does not have an active abandoned cart automation in other solutions, such as Automatic Contact Management (ListBoss), Webhook, or the WhatsApp integration itself.
When these conditions are met, no action is needed to activate the automation. Hotmart automatically sends the recovery message when cart abandonment occurs.
If you no longer want to use the free version, access the Automations tool and disable the active automation.
If you want to manually activate the free abandoned cart automation, follow these steps:
- In the side menu of your Hotmart account, click Tools.
- Click Show all.
- Select Automations.
- Click Create new automation.
- Select the desired product.
- Choose the Cart Abandoned event.
- Complete the requested information.
- Activate the automation.
Hotmart Send
Hotmart Send is the recommended tool for those who want to organize leads and customer contacts and communicate with them through WhatsApp.
When accessing the WhatsApp tool, you can view captured contacts, track options such as Talk to your customers, Sell to new contacts, and Recover sales, and create capture pages to start gathering interested contacts.
To access the WhatsApp area, follow these steps:
- In the side menu of your Hotmart account, click Tools.
- Click See all.
- Select WhatsApp.
On this screen, you’ll be able to view the options available to talk to customers, sell to new contacts, or recover sales. If there are no contacts captured through forms yet, the platform will display a message informing you that data will be shown when contacts are available.

How do I create an automation to send messages through WhatsApp?
Automations allow you to send messages related to specific events, such as abandoned cart. When you click Create new automation, you’ll be directed to a step-by-step configuration screen.
To set up an automation, follow these steps:
- In the side menu of your Hotmart account, click Tools.
- Click Show all.
- Select Automations.
- Click Create new automation.
- Under Product, select the product where the automation will be configured.
- Under Event, choose the action that will trigger the automation. For cart recovery, select Cart Abandoned.
- Under Send a message, fill in the customizable fields, such as Producer name, email or phone number for WhatsApp conversation, and payment link, when available.
- Check the message preview displayed on the side of the screen.
- Under Name the automation, enter a name to identify this setting.
- Click Activate Automation.
For the automation to work correctly, the phone request on the payment page must be enabled.
How do I track WhatsApp automations?
On the Automations screen, you can track the automations configured for your products. The platform displays information such as automation name, sent messages, delivered messages, product, event, and available actions.
To access this screen:
- In the side menu of your Hotmart account, click Tools.
- Click Show all.
- Select Automations.
In this area, you’ll be able to view the automations already created, enable or disable an automation, and access the details of each one.
How do I track the results of recovered abandoned carts?
To view the results of an abandoned cart automation, follow these steps:
- Access the Automations tool.
- Find the automation you want to analyze.
- Confirm that the automation event is Cart Abandoned.
- In the Actions column, click Details.
When you click Details, you’ll be directed to a screen with the main automation results. There, you can track:
- Recovered amount: gross amount earned so far from abandoned cart recovery, without discounts for possible commissions or Hotmart fees.
- Recovered sales: number of sales recovered so far through the automation.
- Messages: number of messages sent and delivered.
- Conversion: relationship between delivered messages and recovered sales.
- History: area where you can search records by name or email.
You can also select the currency to view the recovered amount, such as Brazilian real, US dollar, euro, or pound sterling. Only the recovered amount varies according to the selected currency; the other fields remain the same.
