What documents do I need to complete the registration of my Hotmart account?

When you create your Hotmart account, some registration fields remain temporarily unavailable until you make your first sale. After that sale, the document submission option will be enabled, and once your documents are approved, you’ll be able to register your bank account to receive payments.

The required documents vary depending on the type of account registered: Individual or Legal Entity. In this article, we’ll explain which documents are necessary for each case, how to submit them correctly, and what precautions you should take when uploading them.

See below for the documents you need to submit and the instructions for each registration type:

Individual
  • Photo ID (ID card, driver's license, Residence permit, or Passport):
    • The document must be official and include a photo, ID number, name, and date of birth clearly visible.
    • If it’s an ID card, driver’s license or Residence permit, send images of both the front and back of the document.
    • If it’s a passport, the document must be issued in the same country registered in the account. Note: Passports are not accepted for accounts registered in Brazil.

Avoid sending photocopies, scanned versions, or screenshots. Keep the background clean, and submit each document separately.

  • Recent selfie:
    • Take the photo in a well-lit location with your face visible and centered.
    • Avoid accessories like glasses or hats.
    • Maintain a neutral facial expression, with no smiles or gestures.
    • Do not use filters or effects in the image.
  • Proof of address:
    • Provide a document to confirm your residence. 
    • It should include your full name and residential address, such as a utility bill, bank statement, or official government correspondence issued within the last 3 months.
    • Ensure the document is fully visible, and all details are easy to read.

Important: Ensure all document images are high-quality and easily readable.

Legal Entity
  • Photo ID of the Partners/Administrators listed in the company (ID card or driver's license):
    • The document must be official and contain a photo, ID number, name, and date of birth clearly visible.
    • Provide images of both the front and back.
    • Ensure all data is clearly legible.

Avoid sending photocopies, scanned versions, or screenshots. Keep the background clean, without patterns or text, and submit each document separately.

  • Company Constitutive Document:
    • Upload the company’s official certificate or articles of incorporation and by-laws.

Important: Ensure all document images are high-quality and easily readable.

 

Document review may take up to 5 business days. Why might my document not be approved?

If the documents submitted are not approved, it's likely due to one of the following issues:

  • Illegible documents: blurry, out-of-focus, or poorly positioned images that make it difficult to read the data.
  • Incorrect document type: submitting documents that differ from the ones listed above, including scanned documents, photocopies, or screenshots.
  • Inconsistent Information: the documents submitted do not match the information registered in your Hotmart account, such as ID number.
  • Irregular documents: documents with irregularities, such as expired documents.
  • Missing or repeated documents: failure to submit a required document or submitting the same document twice.
