What is the Hotmart Card and how do I apply for one?

The Hotmart Card is an exclusive benefit for creators, cocreators, and affiliates with a physical address in Brazil for tax purposes. The card allows you to access and use the funds in your Hotmart account anytime, anywhere.

With the Hotmart Card, you can efficiently manage your expenses and reinvest in your business with total control through the Hotmart app. You can use it for online and in-store purchases at any location that accepts Mastercard, as long as your Hotmart account has an available balance.

The Hotmart Card comes with no annual or maintenance fees, and it can be used for purchases in Brazil and internationally. You can choose between the physical or virtual version of the card, with your spending limit tied directly to your account balance—helping you stay in control of your finances. Thanks to contactless technology, you can make tap-to-pay purchases and create up to 10 virtual cards to manage expenses and investments by category. Plus, you can advance your payouts directly to the card and even make ATM withdrawals, giving you full flexibility in managing your money.

Eligibility requirements for the Hotmart Card:

  • You must be a Hotmart creator, cocreator, or affiliate with a physical address in Brazil for tax purposes;
  • Your account must not be blocked.
  • Your balance must not be blocked.
  • All necessary documentation must be approved.
  • You must have at least 5 approved sales, with the first sale made over 7 days ago.

How to request your physical and virtual Hotmart card

If you're eligible, you can apply for a Hotmart Card directly through the app. Choose between the physical card, virtual card, or both—completely free of charge.

How to apply for and activate your physical card for the first time
  1. Update the Hotmart app and log in using the same email you use for your Hotmart account.
  2. In the app, go to My Business and select Hotmart Cards.
  3. Tap Request card in the bottom corner.
  4. On the next screen, select Physical card.
  5. Select a registered address or add a new one.
    The delivery address cannot be changed once the card is requested.
  6. Review your details, including email, name, date of birth, tax ID, and address. To make any changes, click Update my information.
  7. Set up a PIN.
  8. Tap Request Card. Once requested, the physical card will be delivered within 25 business days to the registered address.

    Activate your physical card
    Once you receive your card, you’ll need to activate it to start making purchases. Follow these steps:
    1. Enter the security code (CVC) found on the back of your card.
    2. Set a 4-digit password for purchases and ATM withdrawals.
    Avoid using sequential numbers (e.g., 1234) or your date of birth.
    3. Complete the activation with your PIN*.
    4. Finish the process to activate your physical card.

    *Your PIN is a unique 6-digit code used to ensure security when issuing virtual or physical cards. It is separate from the password for the physical card or the app.
How to apply for a virtual card
  1. Update the Hotmart app and log in using the same email you use for your Hotmart account.
  2. In the app, go to My Business and select Hotmart Cards.
  3. Tap Request card in the bottom corner.
  4. On the next screen, choose Virtual card.
  5. Select your card category and click Continue.
  6. Review your details.
  7. Enter your PIN.
  8. All set! Your new virtual card has been generated, and you can start using it right away for secure online purchases or to reinvest in your business!

*Your PIN is a unique 6-digit code used to ensure security when issuing virtual or physical cards. It is separate from the password for the physical card or the app.

 

Withdrawals and Advance Payouts

With the physical card, you can withdraw up to BRL 1,000 from ATMs in Brazil or the equivalent of BRL 5,000 in other countries. A fee of BRL 6.10 applies for withdrawals from ATMs.

You also have the option to increase your Hotmart Card limit by advancing the payouts from your credit card sales, which will be deposited directly onto your card.

This advance option is available to users who are eligible for Hotmart's advance payout and have not already selected a payment schedule for their credit card sales. If you are eligible, this option will appear when setting up your card.

A 3.99% fee will be applied to the amount advanced if you choose to advance your payouts to your Hotmart Card balance.

How to request an advance payout to your Hotmart Card
  1. On the Hotmart Card home screen, select Request advance payout.
  2. Enter the amount you’d like to advance, which will be added to your Hotmart Card balance.
  3. Review the fee simulation and the new available balance after the transaction.
  4. Confirm the amount and fee to complete the process.
  5. That’s it! The advanced amount will be added to your balance and can be used right away for your transactions.

 

Hotmart Journey and Mastercard benefits

As you reach new milestones on your Hotmart Journey, you'll receive a personalized card to celebrate your achievements.
The cards from Hotmart Project to Hotmart Mission fall under the Mastercard Business category. The cards from Hotmart Black One to Hotmart Cosmos fall under the Mastercard Black category.

Mastercard Business Category 

If your business has reached the milestones of Hotmart Project, Hotmart Blueprint, Hotmart Build, Hotmart Spaceship, or Hotmart Mission, it will fall under the Business category, granting you access to the following Mastercard benefits:

  • Mastercard Surpreenda Loyalty Program: Earn 1 point per purchase, regardless of the amount, and exchange it for exclusive Mastercard Surpreenda [available in Portuguese] offers.
  • Protection against robbery at ATMs

Each card, like Hotmart Legacy, is linked to a specific income level. Users must meet the income criteria to qualify for a card at each milestone. Upon making a request, the system will verify your current milestone, and the card will be issued based on your milestone at the time of the query.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon after I apply for a Hotmart card will it be available?

If you order a virtual card, it will be available for use immediately. For a physical card, delivery takes up to 25 days to your shipping address.

How do I track the delivery of my physical card?

In the Hotmart app, go to Hotmart Cards. The delivery status will be displayed as one of the following:

  • In production: Your card is being produced and will soon be handed over to the carrier.
  • In transit: Your card has been sent to the provided address.
  • Delivered: Your card has been delivered.
How do I block or delete a virtual card?

To temporarily block a virtual card, log in to the Hotmart app, select the card, and enable the Block Card option. You can unblock it anytime.
To delete a virtual card, log in to the Hotmart app, select the card, and click Delete Card. The card will be permanently blocked and can no longer be used.

How do I disable contactless payments?

Contactless payments are enabled by default on the Hotmart Card. To disable this feature, simply go to the Hotmart app and update your settings anytime.

What should I do if I lose my physical card?

If your physical card is lost or stolen, cancel it immediately through the Hotmart app and request a new one.

Can I use my Hotmart Card for installment payments?

Currently, the Hotmart Card is a prepaid card with a credit function, but installment payments are not available.

Can I use the Hotmart Card for streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Spotify, Deezer, etc.?

Yes, you can use the Hotmart Card to pay for streaming subscriptions. For extra security with online transactions, we recommend using the virtual card.

Can I use the card for international purchases?

Yes, international purchases made with your Hotmart Card are converted to BRL (Brazilian Real) at the exchange rate on the day of the transaction. These purchases are subject to standard exchange rates and the IOF tax (Tax on Financial Operations).

Can I link my card to Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or other digital wallets?

At this time, it is not possible to link the Hotmart Card to digital wallets.

What is the limit of my card, and how can I adjust it?

Your Hotmart Card limit is equal to the available balance in your Hotmart account—this means the funds that have already been approved for withdrawal. This gives you more control over your spending. To increase your card’s limit, you can request an advance on your eligible sales payouts, which will be added to your available balance.

How do I create multiple virtual cards?
  1. Go to the Cards section in the Hotmart app. Tap + Create Virtual Card.
  2. Enter your 6-digit PIN.
  3. Accept the terms and conditions, then click Request.
  4. That’s it! You can now create up to 10 virtual cards to better organize your expenses or optimize your ad campaigns.
Why was my transaction declined?
  • As you use the Hotmart Card, we learn more about your spending patterns. To protect your security and ensure a smooth experience, some high-value transactions may be declined if your spending history is not yet well-established.
  • Transactions may also be blocked based on the rules and criteria of the business you are purchasing from. In this case, you will need to contact the business directly for more information.
  • Additionally, if the transaction amount exceeds the available balance in your Hotmart account, the transaction will not go through. Remember, your card’s limit is based on the amount deposited and available for withdrawal in your Hotmart account.
