How do I request a change of ownership for my account?
To maintain user security, some platform changes, like account ownership changes, must be handled with the help of Hotmart support.
In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps needed to request a change of ownership. If you need to update other account details like your name, date of birth, phone number, or time zone, please refer to this article for more information.
Before proceeding with an ownership change, you may need to withdraw the available funds from your account. See the recommendations below based on your balance:
- A withdrawal is required if your balance exceeds 50 USD, EUR, or GBP (plus applicable fees).

No withdrawal is necessary if your balance is lower than 50 USD, EUR, or GBP.
Important: The information described in this article does not apply to ownership changes that involve documents issued in Brazil. If your request includes Brazilian documents, please refer to the

Once the withdrawal is complete, you can submit your request along with the required documents for the ownership transfer. Check the list below to find out which documents you’ll need to provide based on your request:
❯ Individual to Legal Entity
If you want to change the account ownership from an individual to a legal entity, you must submit documents from the current account holder (individual) and from the company that will assume the account:
1. Documents from the current account holder (individual)

A photo of both sides of the official identification document currently registered in the Hotmart account, showing full name, photo, ID number, and date of birth.

2. Company documents

Articles of Incorporation (or Bylaws and Incorporation Act) + Tax Certificate, duly notarized/authenticated.

The Articles of Incorporation must include the company’s ownership structure (shareholding structure).
3. Documents from the company’s partners/shareholders

A photo of both sides of the official identification document of each partner/shareholder, showing full name, photo, ID number, and date of birth.

A “selfie” photo of each partner/shareholder holding their official identification document.

If you want to change the account ownership from a legal entity to an individual, you must submit documents from the current company and from the new individual who will assume the account:
1. Documents from the current company

- Email address of the account you want to update.
- Number of the document currently registered on the platform (Legal Entity or Individual).
- Number of the new document you want to register (Legal Entity or Individual).
- Required documents based on the changes you want to make, as described above in this article.
Your request will be forwarded to the Hotmart team, which will review the documents and, if approved, send a term for all parties to authorize the change.
