Get to know Hotmart Player [BETA]

Now, the Hotmart streaming can be used inside and outside Hotmart Club: a hosting and distribution solution for your videos, all in one place.

Hotmart Player (BETA) is the Hotmart solution for content creators that wish to distribute their videos with the security and expertise of the largest platform in the segment.

1. How do I access Hotmart Player? 

Access the solution through the “My purchases” menu or use the link play.hotmart.com. Then, log in with your email and password that you received via email after the purchase. 

2. How does the Library work?

The Hotmart Player Library (BETA) is the environment where you can manage your entire content. It is possible to leave your content in the library out of folders or separate them in different folders. 

In order to navigate the Player Library, with 1 click, you open the folder and with 2 clicks, you open a preview of the selected media.

2.1 How do I create a new folder? 

1. On the Library page, click in “New” on the upper right corner.
2. Then, click on “New Folder”
3. That’s it! Your folder has been created.

2.2 How do I upload a file to the Library/Folder? 

1. On the Library, click in “New” on the upper right corner
2. Then, select “Upload media” 
3. Select up to 10 media files in your device (audio or video). 
4. That’s it! 

2.3 Which actions can I perform with my media file? 

It is possible to move files between folders, rename, download, access details, set up and delete. In order to access these actions, click on the 3 dots on the line of the desired file. 

3. How do I set up my files in Hotmart Player? 

After clicking on the 3 files on the line of the desired file, select “Settings”. 

3.1 Customization

On the “Customization” field, it is possible to upload a thumbnail for your file. The image file must be PNG or JPG, and if you do not send an image, it will be generated automatically. 

3.2 Subtitles

On the “Subtitles” field, you can log in the languages for which you already have subtitles and submit the files in the .srt or .vtt format, with at most 1MB. 

3.3 Restrictions

On the “Restrictions” field, you can restrict the visualization of your files, so that they are only shown in specific pages. 

In order to do this, include the URL of the specific page, as a Landing Page. 

3.4 Sharing 

In order to share your media, you can copy the link or the code to embed on your pages and share your video on different channels and distribution platforms! 

4. How do I integrate Hotmart Player with Hotmart Club?

If you use Hotmart Club as your members’ area, Hotmart Player has even more advantages for you. You can upload files on your Club directly from the back-office of Hotmart Player. 

When you are creating your content in Club, upon uploading the video file, just select the option “Add from Back-office”.

If you upload a file from your computer, it shall automatically be linked to your back-office of Hotmart Player. 

5. Get to know the Hotmart Player Analytics

For content creators in Hotmart and use Hotmart Club as a members’ area for the students, Hotmart Player (BETA) relies on a dashboard that helps measuring the effectiveness of the content and the engagement of your videos with clients. In the dashboard, you can see the following data: 

• Number of media uploads
• Number of reproductions
• Play Rate
• Retention
• Hours of reproduction
• Engagement
• Total engagement

It’s easy to access the Analytics: log in at Hotmart Player and then, click on “Analytics” on the menu at the left of the screen. 

6. I have acquired Hotmart Player, now what? 

Hotmart Player is distributed as a subscription product. Thus, you can access it through the “My purchases” menu. In order to check the full step-by-step, access this article on our Help Center. 

7. Can I upgrade my Hotmart Player plan? 

The plan is customized based on the moment and needs of your business. In order to increase the definitions of your plan, consult one of our representatives. 

8. How is Storage and Traffic accounted in my plan? 

• Storage is related to the size of your file, for example, a video file with 1GB of storage. 
• Traffic is the amount of GB that was spent for your media file to be reproduced. For example, your file was reproduced by your students 100 times a month, and this accounted to 100GB of Traffic. 

9. What is the difference between Hotmart Player and the video streaming of Hotmart Club? 

Hotmart Player is a full-service solution for content creators that wish to link their media files in any website or platform, and you can acquire it as a subscription product.

The video Player for Hotmart Club is a streaming tool linked to the sale of your courses. 

If you use Hotmart Club, don’t worry. Hotmart Player does not activate the streaming service of Hotmart Club, but you can sync all your content with the members’ area, as explained in item 4.
