By activating the Hotmart Video Player, our streaming service, you can add videos and audios directly from your computer or mobile devices in the products which you use Hotmart Club as the members area, providing the best experience for you and your students!
❯ To activate our streaming, follow the steps below:
- Access your Hotmart account through the link https://app.hotmart.com/.
- Click on Products > My products in the left sidebar and choose the product you want to enable streaming for.
- Access the product where you want to include the video.
- On your course page, click on Settings.
- In the Hotmart Video Player section, select Yes in the option Activate the Hotmart Video Player?.

To confirm, click on Save at the bottom of the page.
❯ To add audio and video files on the content pages, just follow these steps:
- On your product screen, click on the Content tab.
- Click on Add file to upload.

All video files hosted in the Hotmart Members Area will be optimized, and the process takes about 5 minutes. During this time, you can save the page and continue working on other content. Once optimization is complete, the file will be automatically updated, and you can view it on your page.
What is the usage fee?
The use of the Hotmart Streaming service has an activation fee for each approved sale. The fee is always applied considering the currency of the commission, which means that if the commission is in USD, the fee will also be charged in the same currency.
Below, you can understand how this fee will be applied, depending on the type of product:

Important information about videos
When uploading a video to your page, it is important to know some information:

• Using the same video in multiple lessons
It is possible to upload a video to the Player and use it in multiple lessons, without needing to upload the same video to all of them. That is, a video can be used in several different lessons.

• Video limit
Up to 3 videos are allowed per page, and the files must be a maximum of 20GB.

• Video thumbnail
With the video file uploaded, you can change the thumbnail of your video by clicking on the Change image button that will appear just below the thumbnail.
Remember that a video can only have one thumbnail. When the creator changes the thumbnail of a video used in several lessons, the change reflects in all the lessons that use the video.

• Subtitles
You can add subtitles, as well as automatic translations to your videos, and you can also edit and download them. To know how, check out this article.

• Compatibility with Smart TV
Not all Smart TVs are compatible with the Hotmart app, which is available for Samsung Tizen 2017-2021, LG WebOS 2017-2021, or Android TV (Android 7.0 - 9.0). Due to the initial phase of availability or the TV's operating system, the Hotmart TV app may not be available for download and use on some Smart TVs.
