The Affiliate Manager
The Affiliate Manager is responsible for organizing the promotion of one or more products available on the platform. They have the responsibility of being the contact between the Producer and the Affiliates of their products and provide the necessary support so that all Affiliates can clearly understand the strategy and identity of the Producer.
Roles of the Affiliate Manager
The functions of an Affiliate Manager can be very broad, including the creation of a release plan that best suits the ideals of the Producer, creation of the promotion rules, and even the definition of the best measures to take to achieve better results with long-term sales.
The Affiliate Manager not only organizes and plans sales strategies but also needs to have in-depth knowledge of the market and the product so that the roles, both for the Affiliates they manage and for the Producer, are carried out properly. Each Manager leads a certain range of Affiliates and receives a commission percentage on sales made by them.
It is worth mentioning that a Producer can count on the help of an Affiliate Manager without necessarily registering them as a Co-producer for their products.
The co-production feature allows the Affiliate Manager to be automatically commissioned for sales made by the Affiliates under their management. To add an Affiliate Manager to any of your products registered on the platform, just follow the steps below:
- Access your Hotmart account through the link: https://app-vlc.hotmart.com/login
- In the side menu, click on Tools
- Choose Coproductions and then select the Product and continue
- Click Add
- Fill in the available information (product name, Coproducer’s email, contract duration, percentage of commissions).
- Read and agree to the Terms of Use
In the option "receive commission from which sales?", the most common is for Producers to select the one in which the Affiliate Manager will receive sales-only commissions from Affiliates.
You will also be able to choose which Affiliates will or will not generate revenue for the Manager. To do this, simply put the name of the Affiliate in the indicated field and click Save. This option allows you to manage your Affiliates and Managers according to your sales strategy and means of communication assigned to them.
It is worth noting that, if the Producer selects the contract duration as "evergreen", it will only be possible to modify/cancel this option if the Affiliate Manager and Producer agree together to modify or cancel the contract. If you, the Producer, make any changes to the settings, it must also be accepted by the Affiliate Manager (Co-producer), to take effect.
