Is it possible to cancel a Smart Installment plan?

The Smart Installment plan allows buyers to spread the cost of a purchase into monthly payments without using their full credit card limit. To learn more about how this payment method works, check out the article How does a Smart Installment plan work?.

Cancellation policy

When you choose the Smart Installment plan, you agree to pay for the product in fixed monthly installments. However, canceling future installments and requesting a refund is only possible within the purchase guarantee period.

In other words, the Smart Installment plan can only be canceled if the cancellation request is made within the guarantee period of the initial transaction. After this period ends, the remaining installments cannot be canceled, and the total payment must be completed. Here’s how it works:

  • Canceling within the guarantee period: if the product is still within its guarantee period, you can request to cancel future installments and receive a refund for the first payment made. To find out how, follow the steps in this article.
  • After the guarantee period: if the guarantee period has passed, the remaining payments cannot be canceled. In this case, you will need to continue making payments until the full amount is settled.

What if the guarantee period has expired?

If the guarantee period has expired, and you can no longer cancel the installments, we recommend contacting the creator directly to discuss possible alternatives or get more details about the process and the guarantee offered. For guidance on how to do this, see the article How do I contact the creator?.
