Hotmart provides an Access History feature that lets you view the access activity on your account. With this tool, you can track when, where, and how your account was accessed, helping you identify recognized logins and keep your account more secure.
In this article, you’ll learn how to access your account’s access history, understand what information is displayed, and know how to interpret this data to protect your account.
How do I access my account’s access history?
To view your account’s access history, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your Hotmart account by clicking here.
- Click your profile picture icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Then click My account.
- In the left-hand menu, select Privacy and security.
- In the Access history section, click Access history report.
- On the next screen, you’ll be able to view your account’s access history.
On this page, you’ll see information that helps identify each login, such as the date, approximate location, device used, and authentication type.
How does access history work?
Access history shows when, where, and how your account was accessed. This information helps you check whether the logins are recognized.
In some cases, the location shown in the history may change even when the login was made by you. This is expected and is usually related to how your internet connection works.
This can happen when you:
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data (4G or 5G).
- Use different networks or change carriers.
- Use a VPN.
- Access your account from corporate or shared networks.
Understanding the access types shown in the history
To make logins easier to identify, the history groups them into the most common access types:
- Password: access made using email and password.
- Passwordless: access made using a code sent for authentication.
- Social login (Google or Apple): access made using an external provider.
For logins made through social login, part of your account security also depends on the security settings of the provider account you chose.
To learn more about the login types available on Hotmart, see this article.
What does two-step verification (2FA) mean?
Two-step verification (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. Even if someone has access to your password, they’ll still need to enter an additional code to complete the login.
In the access history, you can also check which authentication type was used:
- Email: verification code sent by email.
- OTP (authenticator app): code generated by an authenticator app.
- Not used: the login was made without two-step verification.
For more details about two-step verification, see this article.
When should I be concerned about an access?
It’s important to understand that not every difference in the information shown in the history indicates a security issue. In many cases, small variations are normal.
Below are some examples that may not indicate any problem:
- A change of city within the same country.
- A location change after switching networks.
- Access at times that are close to your usual usage patterns.
However, it’s worth paying attention if you notice any of the following:
- Access from a country you’ve never been to.
- An authentication type you don’t use.
- Times that are completely inconsistent with your usual activity.
- Access without two-step verification, even though this protection is enabled.
What should I do if I identify an access I don’t recognize?
If you identify suspicious access, it’s important to act quickly and change your password to protect your account. To do this:
- Log in to your Hotmart account by clicking here.
- Click your profile picture icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Then click My account.
- In the left-hand menu, select Privacy and security.
- In the Change password section, enter your current password and your new one.
- After confirming your new password, click the Change password button to confirm the action.
When you change your password, all active sessions on your account will be automatically signed out, helping prevent unauthorized access. It’s also recommended to check whether two-step verification (2FA) is enabled to increase your account’s protection.
For more information about changing your password, see this article.
Best practices to keep your account protected
In addition to checking your access history regularly, some practices can help keep your account more secure:
- Use strong, unique passwords.
- Enable two-step verification.
- Avoid accessing your account on unknown devices or networks.
By following these guidelines, you can monitor access to your account and act quickly if you identify any suspicious activity.
