How does installment payment work for creators selling in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru?

Offering installment payments is a great way to make purchasing easier, provide more flexibility for your customers, and increase your sales opportunities.

With Hotmart, you can configure how you want to offer payments to buyers in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru by choosing the payment option that best fits your sales strategy.

In this article, you'll learn how each payment option works, how to configure it, and which rules apply to installment payments.

How do installment payments work?

When creating an offer, you define how buyers can pay for your product.

The available payment options are:

  • One-time payment: the buyer pays the full purchase amount in a single payment.
  • Installment with fees paid by your customer: the buyer can split the purchase amount into installments based on the number of installments configured for the offer. With this option, the buyer is responsible for paying the installment fees.
  • Installment without fees: the buyer can split the purchase amount into installments based on the number of installments configured for the offer without paying any fees. In this case, the creator covers the installment costs. In some Latin American countries, this option is also known as Meses Sin Intereses (MSI).

How do I configure installment payments?
