How do I change the payment method for my subscription?

Changing the payment method for your subscription is very simple. With just five steps, you can easily adjust the payment configuration used at the time of purchase, including the flexibility to change the payment date as you need. This gives you greater control over the process, ensuring a better experience when managing your subscription.

In this article, we'll show you how to change the payment method to meet your needs. Just follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the link: https://consumer.hotmart.com/purchase.
  2. After logging in, select My Purchases in the left menu, then click on the product you wish to update the payment details for.
  3. Your order details will open, then select Set up payment (or Settle pending payments in case the payment is overdue).
  4. A new page will open, and you will find the Payment settings. To add your new payment method or new card data, click on Change payment method.
  5. After filling in the data for the new method or card, click on Save. When you make the change, it will apply to all future charges.

However, there are a few rules to consider when changing the payment method for your subscription:

From credit card to credit card

  • This process depends on your bank's validation and can take a few hours to complete.
  • On some occasions, your card may be charged a temporary fee, which will be refunded automatically. This temporary fee is an indicator that the card change has been successful.

From debit card to credit card

  • Changing the payment method from debit card to credit card can only be done once. After that, it will not be possible to change the payment method from credit card to debit card.
  • This process depends on your bank's validation and can take a few hours to complete.
