How to register an online course?

With a few simple steps, you can create an online course and become a digital entrepreneur on Hotmart.

The first step is to register your course. If you already have an account on the platform, click here. If you don't have one yet, you just need to create one.

Then you can complete the process by following the steps:

  1. Log in to your Hotmart account using the link https://app.hotmart.com/.
  2. In the side menu, choose the Products icon and then click on My products.
  3. At the top right, click on + Create product.
  4. On the new screen that opens, select online course as the format of your product. 
  5. After selecting the format, a new page will open, and you will have to fill in some sections with your course details.
  6. In the Information section, fill in your course information according to the details below:
    a) Write the name of your course, a description for your buyers with at least 200 characters and select a photo for your product in JPG, PNG or GIF format and with a maximum size of 5 MB;
    b) Choose the language, category and target market for your course;
    c) Once this is done, click Next.
  7. In the Pricing section, fill in the following fields as indicated:
    a) Choose the currency in which your course will be sold and the guarantee period, which can be 7, 15, 21 or 30 days.
    b) Define the billing method. If you have chosen the standard installment payment in the payment type, you will also have to choose how many times the buyer can pay the amount after completing the next step.
    c) Set the course price.
    d) Choose if you want to activate or not the currency conversion for international sales.
    e) After filling in all the fields, click Next.
  8. In the Members area section, you can choose whether you want to add your online course to an existing Club, to a new Club or if your course will be available in an external members area. Each option is explained in detail below:
    a) Add the course to an existing Club: if you already have an existing Club and you want to add your new course to it, you must select the option you want and click Next.
    b) Add the course to a new Club: if you do not have any Club registered, or if you want to create a new one, click on + Create Hotmart Club. When you select this option, you will have to enter the name of your Club and define a custom URL. Once you have defined the information for your new Club, click Next and select it on the next page.
    c) Add the course to an external member area: if you want your product to be available in an external member area, click on Change to external member area. A new page will open, and you will need to add some information such as the link, name and password of your students. After adding this information, click Next.
  9. After choosing where your product will be available, the Content page will open, and you will have to answer whether you already have the content for your course or not:
    a) If you choose No, I don't have content yet, you will need to add a description or a file of your content schedule. After filling in the required information, click Next.
    b) If you already have content for your course, select Yes, I have the content, and click Add content. A new page will open, and you will need to add the file of at least one non-free module, inform the author of this content, and then click Publish. Once you have published at least one module, please return to complete the remaining registration steps by clicking Next.
  10. In the Product page section, you can choose which types of pages will be used to sell your course. Below, we explain the different options available to you:
    a) When you register a product on our platform, a page will automatically be created for it on the Hotmart Marketplace, a space that concentrates all the products registered and available for sale on the platform.
    b) If you choose to create a new version of the sales page, you can use Extensions, a tool specialized in creating pages in a simple and personalized way. Check out all the settings available in the Extensions Help Center (only available in Portuguese).
    c) If you already have a sales page hosted on another provider, you can also link it to your product. This way, the Hotlink generated for your product will be redirected directly to that page.
  11. In the Personal information section, you will need to complete the registration by confirming some of your personal information. After completing the confirmation, click Next.
  12. In the Terms and policies section, you will be able to consult the Hotmart’s General Terms of Use and understand your responsibilities and the rules you must follow when registering a product on our platform. Once you have consulted the terms and conditions, you must confirm that you have read them and that you agree with them. After ticking the confirmation box, click Next.

That's it! After following the mentioned steps, your online course will be registered and will undergo a quick verification to ensure compliance with our Terms of Use. Typically, this process takes about 15 minutes, but in specific cases, it may extend to a maximum of one business day.
Sales of your product will be released after the verification. During this period, you can configure the content and sales pages in the editing panel.
