How to Manage Comments in Hotmart Club?

If you offer courses in Hotmart’s members area, the Hotmart Club, you’ve probably noticed how student comments in classes can be a valuable source of interaction and learning. In these spaces, students ask questions, share ideas, and engage more deeply with the content.

To keep this conversation organized and engaging, Hotmart Club offers the Moderation tool — designed to make managing comments in your course lessons much easier. In this article, you’ll learn what the Moderation area is, how to access it, and how to use all the available features.

Hotmart Club Moderation is an exclusive section of the members area that allows the Producer or collaborators to view, manage, and categorize comments made by users in their course or community lessons.

Important: Only the creators of the members area or team members with permission to manage products via the Collaborators Center will be able to access this section. Check out this article to assign permissions.

To view comments using the Moderation, follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://app.hotmart.com/ and log in.
  2. From the left-side menu, click Products, then select Members Area.
  3. Choose the members area you want to manage.
  4. In the left menu, click Moderation.
  5. Use the filters to find comments from your members area. You can filter by pending, approved, hidden and spam.

To manage comments using the Moderation, follow these steps:

After filtering and locating comments, you can perform several actions and see key info about the student and their comment. Here's how:

  1. On the moderation screen, click on a comment.
  2. A panel on the right will show detailed info such as:
    • Course, module, and lesson names.
    • User’s name, comment date, group, and the message itself.
    • Reply status, available actions, and comment history.
  3. To reply to Comments using the Moderation click on a comment, then click in Reply under the comment. Type your message and click Publish. If the comment already has a reply, a Replied tag will appear just below it.
  4. Click the three-dot menu next to a comment to choose how you want to manage it:
    • Approve – Makes the comment and reply visible to everyone.
    • Hide – Only the person who commented will see the reply.
    • Spam – Removes the comment from public view. It stays hidden but can be reviewed again later.
  5. To view the comment directly in the product, click See more to open the corresponding lesson.

 

How to configure comment options per product

You can also customize how comments work in each product. For example, you can:

  • Enable or disable student comments
  • Allow students to see comments from other groups
  • Automatically publish comments and replies
  • Use the Reply as Persona feature to standardize the name and image shown in replies by you or your team

To set up comment options, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Hotmart at https://app.hotmart.com/
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Products and select Members Area
  3. Choose the desired members area
  4. In the left-hand menu, click Products and select a product
  5. Go to the Comments tab and click Settings
  6. On the settings screen, activate or deactivate options according to your strategy.

Important: These settings are configured per product. So if you want to apply the same rules to multiple courses, you’ll need to repeat the steps for each one.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I view a student’s comment history?

Yes, to view a person's history of comments and responses in a lesson, follow these steps:

  1. Log in at https://app.hotmart.com/.
  2. Go to Products > Members Area.
  3. Choose the area you want to manage.
  4. Click Moderation from the left menu.
  5. Find the comment, then click it.
  6. In the right panel, click Show to view the student’s comment and reply history for that lesson. To see it directly in the lesson, click See more.
Can I reply to multiple comments at once?

No, replying to multiple comments at once isn’t available. However, you can still approve, hide, or mark multiple comments as spam in one go. To do that, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in at https://app.hotmart.com/.
  2. Go to Products then click on Members Area.
  3. Select your desired members area.
  4. Click Moderation in the left-hand menu.
  5. Use the checkboxes to select the comments you want to manage.
  6. A blue toolbar will appear—click the appropriate icon to apply your action to all selected comments.
