How to import students to my members area or online course?
You can add new students or collaborators manually to your members area, giving them access to all the products added to your Hotmart Club or to a specific online course. This process is known as importing students.
In this article, we'll show you the contexts for adding new students and the easiest ways to do it for each case.

Importing to a specific online course
Importing students to an online course allows them to access your product instantly. Below, we explain how to perform this import for a single student at a time (manual import) or a list of students (batch import).
❯ Import a single student to an online course
In this option, you can manually invite up to 10 people to join your members area as students, moderators, content editors, or administrators. As you make more sales, this number of users who can be imported increases.
Since this is a manual import, you will need to import one student at a time. To do this import, follow the instructions below:

Access Hotmart through the link:https://app.hotmart.com/.

Click on Products and then on My products, located on the left side menu.

Select the desired product and click on Course management.

Click on the Users tab.

Click on Import users and then on Manually.

Fill in the details of each student you want to import.

You can choose the role of the user and in which group you want to add them.

After finishing the settings, click Add user.
After completing the import, the students will receive an email with the product access information.

❯ Import multiple students to an online course
In this option, you can invite up to 10 people at once to join your members area as students, moderators, content editors, or administrators. As you make more sales, this number of users who can be imported increases.
To perform a batch import to your members area, you need to create a CSV file with the students' information. If you don't know what a CSV file is, don't worry! We provide a ready-made file template for you to fill in with your students' data.
To do this import, follow the instructions below:

Access Hotmart through the link:https://app.hotmart.com/.

Click on Products and then on My products, located on the left side menu.

Select the desired product and click on Course management.

Click on the Users tab.

Click on Import users and choose the Import in batch option.

Enter the name, email, and purchase date (optional) information separated by a semicolon in the text box, without quotes.

Example: John Smith;johnsmith@email.com;DD/MM/YYYY

Select the role of the users in the members area, the group they will be included in, and the access expiration date if applicable.

In the area below, you will find a list of the required data for the CSV. Remember that we provide a ready-made CSV file template, which you can download and fill in with your students' data.

When your list is ready, click on Select CSV file and import your list.

Finally, click on Import members.
After completing the import, the students will receive an email with the product access information.

If your sales have already been made through Hotmart and you are migrating from an external members area to our platform, follow the steps below:

Access Hotmart through the link:https://app.hotmart.com/

Click on Products and then on My products, located on the left side menu.

Select the desired product and click on Course management.

Click on the Users tab.
-
Click on Import users and choose Import from Hotmart.

Select the Group to which you want to import your students.

Finally, select Import to complete.

Importing students to a members area allows them to access all the products added to it. Below, we explain how to perform this import for a single student at a time (manual import) or a list of students (batch import).

Enter the information: name, email, and language of the student to be added.

Then, choose which products the student will be added to.

Select the role of the user in the members area, the group they will be included in, and the product access expiration date if applicable.

product individually to import users for two or more

❯ Import students from an external members area to my Hotmart Club members area
This option is exclusive for importing students who purchased your course, which was previously accessed through an external members' area.
In this option, all students who were in the external area and made the purchase through Hotmart will be imported to your Hotmart Club members' area.
To do this import, follow the instructions below:

Choose the members area where you want to perform the import.

On the left side menu, click on Members.
-
Then click on Add members.

Select the Give access option.
-
Choose which products the student list will be added to.
-
Select the role of the users in the members area, the group they will be included in, and the product access expiration date if applicable.

Finally, click on Import members.

Important information
- For imports to be carried out, all information fields must be correctly filled. The absence of a name or email, especially in CSV lists, will prevent the import of students.
- If fields such as role, group, and date are not filled, the system will do a default autofill (student, default group, and date the import was made).
- If it is necessary to change the email or data of an imported student, only the support team can do this. To request the change, click on the blue Contact us button located at the end of this article.
- Imported users, as they do not have a linked transaction, are not shown in the sales reports. Details of these users are only shown in the user management of the members area or course to which they were imported.
Import history
The import history contains information about the users added to your members area, such as date and type of import, number of users added, and products to which they were imported.
To access the Import History, whether from your members area or online course, click on Members (in the members area) and Users (specific course), then click on Import and select the Import History option. By clicking on the + Details button, you can access information such as the student's name and email, group, and import status.
