How to use Hotmart Chat: a complete guide

Hotmart believes in the power of effective communication to strengthen bonds between creators and affiliates. That's why we introduce Hotmart Chat, a channel developed to facilitate and speed up your conversations, offering the possibility to send texts, images, and hyperlinks in real time. Discover below how to make the most of this tool without leaving our platform.

 

Starting a conversation in Chat

To start a conversation using chat, just follow the instructions below:

  1. Access your account at Hotmart via the link https://app.hotmart.com
  2. In the top right menu, click on the Messages option (icon with two chat balloons).
  3. The Chat page will open, and you should click on New conversation, represented by the + sign.
  4. After that, you'll see your list of affiliate contacts. Choose the affiliate with whom you wish to start the conversation and click on their name.
    Important: For a conversation to start, you need to open the channel. The conversation only begins when the creator sends the first message. After that, affiliates will be able to send direct messages to the creator.
  5. Write the title of the broadcast, the message (adding images or hyperlinks if you wish), and click on Send broadcast.
  6. On the next screen, you can check the Allow answers option if you want people to respond, or leave it unchecked if you prefer not to receive replies.
    Note: if you choose to disable replies later, simply click on the conversation, then on View Information and Disable replies.
  7. Finally, click on Send broadcast.

To know who's online, look for the green icon on the affiliate's photo. 
The blue checkmark (✔) indicates that the message was received.

 

Sending messages to more than one contact: Broadcast List

To create a broadcast list, just follow the instructions:

  1. Access your account at Hotmart via the link https://app.hotmart.com
  2. In the top right menu, click on the Messages option (icon with two chat balloons).
  3. The Chat page will open, and you should click on New broadcast, represented by the megaphone sign.
  4. Select the desired contacts to form your broadcast list.
  5. Write the title of the broadcast, the message (adding images or hyperlinks if you wish), and click on Send broadcast.

Messages by broadcast are sent individually, not forming a group.

 

Using chat filters

Maximize the effectiveness of your messages using filters to segment your conversations. With this tool, you have the power to direct your messages precisely, choosing exactly who you want to talk to.

Start by selecting the filters of your preference, which can be one or several, depending on how you want to refine your audience. This means you can adjust your messages to meet the specific needs of different groups of affiliates, making your communication even more effective and targeted.

Moreover, you can remove contacts from the chosen filters. This ensures that only the affiliates aligned with the purpose of your message will be reached. Thus, you ensure that each message sent is relevant, valuing the time and engagement of your affiliates.

 

Allow your collaborators to use Chat

For your entire team to use Chat, just set it up through the Collaborators Center. To do this, follow the steps indicated below:

  1. Access your account at Hotmart via the link https://app.hotmart.com
  2. Look for Collaborators Center.
  3. Click on Add Collaborator and enter the name and email of the person you wish to include. Then, select the corresponding key to Chat in Collaborator Profile.
