What information is available in Analytics?

Hotmart Club Analytics is divided into three main tabs, each providing specific metrics to help you manage your members area:

  • Courses: Tracks course performance metrics and student behavior.
  • Communities: Displays engagement data, number of members, and interactions within the community. Learn more about Communities here.
  • Gamification: Provides information on rankings, scores, and student interactions. Learn more about Gamification in this article.

Below, we explain in detail how to explore the Courses tab and better understand the available metrics to track your students.

Courses: How to explore key metrics and interpret them

In the Courses tab, you’ll find several metrics that help you understand the performance of your content.

Important: Use the available filters to refine your search by product and specific time period.

At the top of the screen, three key indicators provide an overview of your course:

  • Newly enrolled students: Shows how many students gained access to the course during the selected period (via purchase, invitation/import, or free access). If a student purchases multiple courses, they will be counted in each one.
  • Students who accessed the courses: Displays the number of students who accessed the course within the selected period, regardless of when they gained access.
  • Students who started the courses: Indicates how many students began consuming the content within the selected period.

Clicking See more allows you to see a table with detailed information.

Below that, the Total number of accesses to the courses metric shows the total number of accesses made by students in the selected period, considering any type of entry (purchase, invitation/import, or free access).

By clicking Explore metrics, you can view a detailed table with individual student access records.

The Student Lifecycle chart helps you understand how your students are behaving in the course over time. It shows, week by week, who joined, who stayed engaged, who came back, and who stopped accessing the content.
With this, you can better visualize your students' engagement and think about actions to boost participation and learning. Each student can have a different status each week, depending on how they interact with your content. Here’s what each status means:

    • 🟢 New Students: The student accessed the course for the first time that week.
    • 🔵 Retained Students: The student accessed the course last week and also this week.
    • 🟡 Recovered Students: The student didn’t access the course last week but came back this week.
    • 🔴 Inactive Students: The student didn’t access the course this week but had accessed it before.

The status always refers to the current week. In other words, it shows where the student is in their journey this week, not their full historical path.

The time filter defines which weeks will be considered to calculate each student’s current status in relation to the course. Even if you select a longer period (like 30 days, 3 months, or 6 months), the system does not display the full week-by-week history. Instead, it uses the weeks within that range to understand the student’s recent behavior and assign a single, current status per course.

By clicking Explore metrics, you'll access detailed charts and a table with each student’s status for the selected period. Remember, a student enrolled in multiple courses will appear more than once in the table.

Finally, the Student progress in the courses metric shows the average progress of students throughout the course, divided into completion ranges (in 10% increments). The data reflects performance from the course's creation, without considering the selected date filters.

By clicking Explore metrics, you'll access a detailed chart and data on:

  • Average progress rate: The average completion percentage of all students.
  • Progress per student ratio: A table showing individual student progress.

How to use Analytics data to improve my courses?

The data available in Analytics is crucial to understanding student behavior and improving course performance. With these insights, you can:

  • Improve student retention: Identify inactive students and create strategies to encourage them to return to the course.
  • Enhance content: If the average progress is low, evaluate possible adjustments to make the course more engaging.
  • Track growth: Use new enrollment data to assess the impact of your marketing campaigns.
