If you're reading this article, it's probably because you have considered taking content from a product you've created and using it in a new product.
The new Hotmart Club experience now allows you to import content, whether it's complete modules or specific pages.
Importing content between products works as follows: when you create content in product "A", you have the option of selecting and importing content from product "B" into "A".
The import process makes it possible to copy complete modules, specific pages and media used. However, there are some import rules which will be mentioned at the end of this article.
This feature is available to users with the "Admin" and "Content Editor" roles, who have permissions to create and manage content in their Member Areas.
You can access the functionality directly from the Hotmart Club admin Content tab, where you create, configure and manage all your content.
Below, we show you how to use this feature step by step:
- First, access Hotmart Club.
- In the side menu, click on Products and select the product you want to create content for.
- After that, click on the Content tab to import content from another product, and then click on the Import Content button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- After clicking on the Import Content button, select the product that contains the content to be imported. The list will show all the products linked to your user, regardless of whether they are added to your Members Area or not.
- Once you have chosen the source product for the content, select the modules and/or pages you want to import. The content available for import includes modules and pages, both main and additional. However, it is important to note that Ads and Lives cannot be imported between products.
- After selecting the contents, confirm the import action. With each import, you can replicate 50 modules, each with up to 200 pages. If your selection exceeds this limit, a warning will be displayed indicating that some content needs to be removed from the selection.
- You can follow the import in a modal that provides feedback on the process in real time, and you can close it at the end of the import process.
It is important to note that it is not possible to start another import process on the same product while one is in progress. We recommend waiting for the import process to be completed before proceeding with other content management activities.
- After closing the import feedback modal, please rate the functionality both quantitatively (from 1 to 5 stars) and qualitatively (in an open response field).
- Once the import is complete, you can reorganize and rename the imported content, as well as configure its release and expiration, if you use this feature.
Now it's much easier to create new strategies for new products, isn't it?
Please note some rules below:
- Importing content does not include importing Lives and Ads (Club Sales).
- The duplicate page will not be associated with two different products. Therefore, if you edit the content in one product, this will not be reflected in the other. You will need to edit the content of different products separately.
- The scheduling configuration (release or expiration) is not replicated in the new product.
- The feature does not allow the replication of classes linked to the imported content. The content will always be linked to a default class, and you must manually link new classes in the Classes tab of the Hotmart Club admin.
- Tracks must be created before importing modules and pages. In this case, you'll need to create the track in the new product, import the content and link it to the new track created.
- Activation of Streaming use: media in content will only be displayed in the destination product if this product has Hotmart Player activated.
- Activation of Streaming use release in free content (when available): media in free content will never be displayed until the role is added to the destination product.
