When you register your product on Hotmart, you can offer the installment payment option as a payment method for your buyers.
Check out below how to register:
- Go to your Hotmart account at https://app-vlc.hotmart.com/login
- On the side menu, select Products
- Click Create Product
- Under Pricing, select the desired payment type
You can choose between the following options:
Brazil
Installment plan with fees for buyers (up to 12 installments)
buyers will pay for the product in more than one installment and will be charged a fee of 2.89% per month on top of the price paid for the product. You can decide the number of installments, remembering that the number of installments available to choose from will depend on the product’s price.
In purchases made in installments, you will receive the product’s full amount and the buyer will pay the installments to the bank.
Installment plan without fees for buyers
The fee of 2.89% per month will be charged to the creator, deducted from the product’s price. At the Checkout page, the buyer will be informed that the purchase can be paid in installments in the number of installments determined by the creator, and the amount to be paid in Reais, with no fees.
In a product that costs $100 for the buyer, if purchased in 2 installment payments of $50, for example, R$4.17 will be deducted from the commission of the creator and his or her affiliates referring to the installment plan fee.
When the fee is incurred by the seller, the base amount of the commission that will be received on credit card sales, will be deducted according to the rate of 2.89% p.m. and the number of installments.
Automatic sales recovery tool
The automatic sales recovery tool is used when an attempt to make a purchase in installments is denied due to the buyer’s insufficient credit card balance. At this point, to recover the sale, our system will create a new transaction to charge the monthly amounts from the buyer, which will be in recurrence format.
Thus, the buyer needs to have enough limit on their credit card only for the amount of the first installment, and not for the total amount of the purchase. In the following months, the remaining amount will be charged on a recurring basis and through our system.
Important: An exclusive tool for prices created in the following currencies: Brazilian Real (BRL), Mexican Peso (MXN), Chilean Peso (CLP), Peruvian Sol (PEN) and Colombian Peso (COP).
Sales Recovery Tool using Installment Payments with Bank Payment Slips or PIX
In addition to the installment payments informed above, the Sales Recovery Tool using Installment Payments with Bank Payment Slips or PIX is also available for creators with a Brazilian account.
The installment plan works as an additional strategy in the recovery of customers who cannot pay cash or don’t have a credit card.
Important: This option is enabled only for offers in Brazilian Real and buyers in Brazil.

Parcelex
Parcelex is another option for buyers who cannot pay cash or don’t have a credit card. This payment method allows you to finance a product by paying in installments using a payment slip.
*It should be noted that this is a BETA version and is available only to certain creators who have offers in Brazilian Real.
Mexico
Installment plan with buyer fees (up to 12 installments)
creators can choose whether to pass on the costs to their customers. They only have to set up the offer WITH the rate and select the number of installments that will be available. In this case, each installment will have an increase of 2.99% p.m.
Installment plan with no fees for buyers
Creators can select the option of an offer WITHOUT the rate being charged to the customer, and customize the payment plan by determining the number of installments being offered, 3, 6, 9 or 12 installments, for example, and will be able to see each one’s amount.
*In both cases of installment plans, with or without interest rates for buyers, each installment should always have a minimum amount of 100 MXN.
Colombia
Installment plan with buyer fees (up to 12 installments)
creators will be able to register a product on the platform, offer installment plans – without charging fees — in up to 12 installments, and receive the full amount when the sale is made. In the case of Colombia in particular, the fees are charged by the credit card companies, and the fees can be different for each customer profile.

Smart Installment Plan
The smart installment payment is a payment method that allows your buyers to split the price of your product into monthly installments.
With the smart installment plan, your buyers will be able to split the price into a few monthly installments on their credit card, without the total amount of the product blocking the limit.
* This option is only available for countries where no native installment plan is available.
