Integrating Hotmart Members’ Area with Zendesk chat

We will divide this process into two steps. The first is on Zendesk itself, and then on Hotmart, just follow the step-by-step instructions below. 

Step One: The Zendesk script

Before you enable the Hotmart Members’ Area (Hotmart Club) integration with Zendesk.

  1. Go to your Zendesk account and click the Settings gear in the left menu. 
  1. Then, a new menu on the left will open with more options. In it, click on Chat within the Channels section.
  1. Next, another screen will open. Click Settings on this new screen.
  1. Then, click Widget and copy the script in the highlighted field. Save this script in a file on your computer, because you’ll need it for the second phase. 
  1. Now, you need to set up the chat. This is when you customize it as you wish in the Appearance, Forms, Settings, and Web Widget Security (Classic) tabs.

Step Two: Integrating Hotmart Members’ Area and Zendesk Chat

  1. Go to your Hotmart account at https://app-vlc.hotmart.com/login
  2. In the left menu, click Products and then on I’m a Creator, and select the desired product. 
  3. Next, click Members’ Area in the product’s internal menu on the left. Afterward, choose the Go to my Hotmart Members’ Area or Go toHotmart Club buttons. 
  4. Then, open a new tab in your browser. On the new screen, click Settings in the left menu. 
  5. Next, click the Zendesk Chat tab.
  6. Below “Enter Zendesk script”, you will see an open field containing an example. In it, you should paste the Zendesk script we talked about in the first part of the process. 
  7. To publish the feature, enable the “Do you want to display the Zendesk chat window?

What you need to know about the Hotmart Members’ Area and Zendesk Chat integration

  • You can define chat settings within Zendesk itself. In practice, you can customize text, color, and support flow. 
  • The chatbox will appear on the lower right corner in your Members’ Area. 
  • The reply flow and follow-up should be done in Zendesk.
