How do I use Hotmart Extensions Webinar solution?

Hotmart Extensions Webinar is the ideal tool for those who want to create livestreams as a strategy to capture potential buyers and sell their products live. A webinar can also be called a livestream, live class, or live broadcast. 

Below, you can find all the steps you need to use your webinar:

  1. Log in to the platform at https://app-vlc.hotmart.com/login
  2. In the upper right corner, click on the dots icon next to your profile picture
  3. Click on Webinar
  4. To create a livestream, click New webinar
  5. Now, select how you want to stream it. Attention: it must be a link toYouTube or Vimeo. Important: YouTube and Vimeo are streaming services that allow you to talk to many people simultaneously.
  6. Enter the title and description of your livestream
  7. Choose a .JPG or .PNG thumbnail. A thumbnail is an image that shows a quick snapshot of your event.
  8. Set the date and time
  9. Choose whether you will allow this live event to be played after it has ended by clicking Reply.
  10. Click Continue Done! Your livestream has been created =)

Promote a webinar to your audience

  1. 1. Log in to the platform at https://app-vlc.hotmart.com/login
  2. In the upper right corner, click on the dots icon next to your profile picture
  3. Click on Webinar
  4. Choose a livestream
  5. Click Invite your audience

This link will also appear when you finish setting up your webinar.

Moderate the chat during your livestream

When your livestream starts, the chat will be enabled. To disable it, just click Chat Off in the upper left corner.

When the chat is enabled, your audience will be able to send messages, asking you questions while your webinar is live. This is an opportunity to build an even stronger relationship with the audience!


  • You can enable/disable the chat at any time. 
  • Inappropriate comments can be deleted.
  • You can reply to each comment individually.


Sell live using triggers 

1. Access the livestream you've created.

2. Click on the Triggers tab.

3. Click New Trigger.

4. Now click on External Link (CTA). A CTA (call to action) is a button with a short, clear, and eye-catching text that should attract your audience's attention. 


5. To make the trigger more interesting, customize the text and CTA.

6. Define if this is a scarcity trigger, i.e., it will only be displayed for a short amount of time.

7. To make it even more attractive, choose the background color of the button.

8. Enter an external link. It could redirect to your checkout page, for example. 


9. Click Save and activate it at the right time.

Important: only one trigger can be displayed at a time. 

Access the list of subscribers and participants of your live event

  1. On the webinar homepage, click on the @ icon.
  2. Choose the livestream and click Export CSV or click on the event to view the leads you've collected.
