Venmo is PayPal’s digital wallet which allows for quick and easy payments. With it, your customers can make payments with the balance from their Venmo wallet or a registered credit or debit card in just a few clicks, directly from their computer or smartphone.
The method is only available to buyers in the United States, and your product’s price needs to be the US dollar (USD) or have currency conversion enabled.
By default, this method is enabled when PayPal is selected as the primary payment method. In other words, if PayPal is enabled, you don't need to activate anything else to offer this method to your customers.
To set up Venmo as a payment method for your product, follow the steps below.

Important: this change is being implemented gradually. As such, for now, not all users will be able to see the new platform while accessing products and tools. Here you can find the steps to follow on both platform versions.
If you're on the new platform, follow these steps after accessing Hotmart:
- Log into your account at https://app-vlc.hotmart.com/login
- On the right-side menu, choose Products, and I'm a creator
- Select the desired product
- In the product's internal menu, click on Tools
- Click on Payment Page Settings
- In Payment options, enable PayPal
If you're on the new platform, follow these steps after accessing Hotmart:
- Click on Products in the left-side menu
- Choose a product
- Click on Tools and then proceed to step 5 as described above to complete the setup.
That's it! Now you can offer this additional payment method to your customers. Check out how it will be displayed on your customer's screen:
To pay with Venmo, customers must log in to their PayPal account, fill in the required information, and complete the purchase.
Venmo doesn’t impact how creators, cocreators, and affiliates are commissioned. This payment method is processed just like other PayPal transactions.
