Frequently asked questions about Hotmart Club communities

Communities in Hotmart Club, our Members Area, are a great opportunity to keep your students engaged with your content and your brand.

Everyone who buys your courses will be able to comment and interact with other members. To help you understand all the benefits for your brand and your customers, we’ve gathered some frequently asked questions in this article. Check them out!

How will students be able to access communities? 

To have access to the communities, students need to buy at least one product that has been added to the Membership.

How many communities can I create?
There’s no limit to the number of communities you can create.

Who are the members of communities? 

Members will be those who have bought at least one of the products available in your Members Area.

What kinds of posts will people be able to make

For now, only comments can be posted. However, your students will be able to add images to their posts.

Is it possible to have a members area only with communities? 

To have communities, you must have at least one product linked to the Members Area.

Who can post and comment in communities? 

The communities work like discussion forums, where all members can post and comment.

Can I approve a lesson’s community posts or comments before they become visible? 

As owner of the Members Area, you’ll be able to delete comments and posts.

Is it possible for only students from a specific course or class to be part of a community? 

Access to all communities is available to everyone who has purchased a product from your Members Area.

I already have a course in Hotmart Club with several student comments. What happens to the old comments if I create new communities

Existing comments will not be displayed in new communities. In other words, only new comments will be displayed. However, old comments remain saved and can be accessed via the URL in your old Members Area.

Can I associate more than one course to a community

Yes, you can add multiple courses to a single community. However, you cannot add multiple communities to a single course.

If I unlink my community from the course, will all comments be deleted

The comments can still be seen within the community, but the comments will be deleted in the course.

Is it possible to have comments in my course without having a community

The communities work as a lesson interaction system. Each lesson that has at least one comment will have a post associated with it in the community, linked to the course to which that lesson belongs.

Can I use my existing communities in the Members Area? 

To use the communities you need to create them in the Members Area.

Can I delete members from my communities

You can delete members from the community by deleting a member from the Members Area itself. This means that it isn’t currently possible to delete members manually.

Can I ban users from my communities?

Yes. To do this, access the community from which you want to ban the user, click on the 3 dots button to the right of their name and click on Ban User.

Caution: Banning a user from one community does not automatically exclude them from others.
