How to integrate Facebook features into my Hotmart Pages?
Hotmart Pages allows you to integrate different Facebook (Meta) features to track visits, measure campaign results, and add interactive functionalities to your pages. These integrations help you understand visitor behavior, verify domains, and improve conversion tracking.
In this article, you’ll learn which Facebook features can be integrated into Hotmart Pages, what each one is used for, when to use them, and how to set them up, including the Facebook Pixel, Conversions API and domain verification.
Which Facebook integrations are available in Hotmart Pages?
Facebook integrations in Hotmart Pages serve different purposes and can be used independently or together, depending on your strategy.
In general, they fall into three main categories:
Measuring traffic and conversions (Pixel and Conversions API).
Domain verification to use Facebook’s advanced features.
Interacting with visitors through comments on the page.
Throughout this article, you’ll see how each integration works and how to set it up.
Important: Facebook (Meta) features are external tools and not part of Hotmart. Therefore, screen names, options, and flows may change at any time without prior notice. If you have specific questions about settings within Facebook Business or Events Manager, we recommend checking the official documentation or contacting Meta support. For questions related to setup in Hotmart Pages, Hotmart’s support team can assist you.
Facebook Pixel: how it works and how to set it up in Hotmart Pages?
The Facebook Pixel is a code that tracks interactions performed by visitors on your pages, such as page views, URL visits, and specific actions. This data is sent to Meta’s Events Manager and can be used for performance analysis and ad campaigns.
In Hotmart Pages, the Pixel is recommended when you want to track visitor behavior and use this information in paid traffic strategies. For the feature to work properly, setup is done in three main steps: generating the code on Facebook, installing the script on the page, and configuring tracking events.
Below is the full step-by-step for each stage.
❯ Step 1: Generate the Pixel code on Facebook
In this step, you will create the Pixel and obtain the
base code to insert into your page.
From the side menu, click Marketing
and then Page creator.
Within Hotmart Pages, select My pages.
Choose the page where you want to add the Pixel and
click Edit, or select
Create page to start from scratch.
In the editor, click the gear icon in the side menu
to access page settings.
Select the Scripts option.
Choose the Head area and click
Add Script to Head.
Enter a name for the script, such as
Facebook Pixel Base, and paste the copied
code into the Script field.
Make sure there are no spaces at the beginning or
end of the code to avoid errors, then click
Save.
Changes are saved as a draft. To activate the Pixel,
click Publish to make the page live
or update the already published version.
❯ Step 3: Configure events on Facebook
With the base code installed and the page published,
you can configure the events to be tracked.
In Facebook’s Events Manager, return to the created
dataset and go to the Test events
tab.
In the field
Confirm that your website events are set up correctly,
enter the URL of your published page and click
Test events.
If the code is working correctly, the status will
appear as Processed.
Then, in the top menu, go back to the Overview
tab and click Set up events.
Enter the page URL again and select Add events.
Choose the type of tracking you want:
Track new button, to record
clicks on specific buttons, such as Buy.
Track a URL, to monitor
visits to specific pages, such as a confirmation
page.
Associate the desired event type, confirm by clicking
Confirm, and finish by clicking
Finish setup.
After processing, events will be recorded automatically.
You can add, edit, or delete events whenever needed.
Important notes about the Facebook Pixel:
The Pixel only starts tracking events after the page is published.
Any changes to the code require a new publication.
Data may take a few minutes to appear in Meta’s Events Manager.
Conversions API: how it works and how to set it up in Hotmart Pages?
Facebook’s Conversions API allows you to send events directly from the server to Meta, reducing data loss caused by browser blocks, extensions, or cookie restrictions. This feature complements the Facebook Pixel and is recommended for those who want more reliable tracking of important events, such as conversions.
In Hotmart Pages, setting up the Conversions API is done in two main steps: generating the data in Facebook Business and configuring the integration within the page.
To use the Conversions API, the domain used on the page must be verified on Facebook. The verification process is explained later in this article.
❯ Step 1: Generate data in Facebook Business
In this step, you will create the dataset, generate the
access token, and obtain the information required for
integration with Hotmart Pages.
From the side menu, click Marketing
and then Page creator.
Within Hotmart Pages, select My pages.
Choose the page where you want to configure the Conversions
API and click Edit, or select
Create page to start from scratch.
In the editor, click the gear icon in the side menu
to access page settings.
Select the Facebook integration
option.
Fill in the fields with the information obtained
from Facebook:
Pixel ID.
Access token.
Event names (if there is
more than one, separate them with commas).
Test event code.
Make sure there are no spaces at the beginning or
end of the fields and click Save.
Changes are saved as a draft. To activate the integration,
click Publish to make the page live
or update the already published version.
Important notes about the Conversions API
The page must be published for events to be sent correctly.
The Conversions API does not replace the Pixel. Both features are complementary.
Data may take a few minutes to appear in Meta’s Events Manager.
Domain verification on Facebook
Domain verification on Facebook is required to confirm that the address used on your pages and campaigns actually belongs to you. This validation is essential for properly using features such as the Facebook Pixel and the Conversions API, and it also increases the security of your settings on Meta.
Before starting the verification, consider the following points:
The configuration is not compatible with Hotmart Pages subdomains, such as kpages.online or hotmart.host.
You must have your own domain.
Verification can only be done on the root domain, such as yourbrand.com. Subdomains and subpages are not accepted.
Below are the available options to verify your domain on Facebook and the step-by-step instructions for each method.
❯ How to verify a domain in Facebook Business?
For some Facebook settings, you need to prove ownership
of the domain used on your pages. To verify your domain
on the platform, follow the steps below:
Find the section Brand safety and suitability
and select Domains.
Click Add and then
Create a domain.
Enter the domain (without https://
or www) and click Add.
Facebook will display three verification options. For
Hotmart Pages, we recommend using a meta tag
or a DNS TXT record. You only need to
choose one of these options to complete the process.
If you prefer to use the HTML file method, follow the
instructions provided directly on Facebook. If you have
questions about this process or about accessing your
domain directory, contact your hosting provider’s support.
❯ Verification via meta tag in Hotmart Pages
If you choose the meta tag option, follow the steps below
to add it to the page configured with your own domain
(for example, yoursite.com):
From the side menu, click Marketing
and then Page creator
Within Hotmart Pages, select My pages.
Choose the page that uses your own domain and click
Edit, or create a new page.
In the editor, click the gear icon
to access page settings.
Select the Scripts option.
Choose the Head area and click
Add Script to Head.
Enter a name to identify the meta tag, such as
Facebook Meta Tag.
Paste the code provided by Facebook into the
Script field, make sure there are
no spaces before or after it, and at the end of the
code, add </>.
Click Add, save the changes, and
publish the page.
After publishing, return to Facebook Business and click
Verify domain.
Important: the ideal page to insert
the meta tag is the Home Page of the
site, meaning the page whose URL exactly matches the
root domain (e.g., yourbrand.com). You can create a new
page with this address or set an existing one as the
Home page.
❯ Verification via DNS TXT record
Alternatively, you can verify the domain by adding a
TXT record to your domain provider’s DNS. To do this:
Access your domain provider’s panel
(such as Registro.br, GoDaddy, or HostGator).
Locate the DNS management area and
create a new TXT record.
In the Host field, enter @ or the
full domain, depending on the provider’s format.
In the Value field, paste the TXT
code provided by Facebook.
Save the changes and wait for propagation, which
may take a few hours.
After this period, return to Facebook Business and
click Verify.
Once the domain is successfully verified, it will be available for use in Facebook campaigns and integrations. From that point on, you’ll be able to configure the Facebook Pixel and the Conversions API on your Hotmart Pages without domain-related restrictions.
Frequently asked questions
❯ Do I need to use all Facebook integrations in Hotmart Pages?
No. Integrations are optional and independent of each
other. You can use only the features that make sense
for your goal:
For basic tracking: Facebook Pixel.
For more robust tracking: Pixel + Conversions API.
For advanced campaigns: domain verification is required.
❯ Can I use the Pixel and the Conversions API at the same time?
Yes. Both integrations are complementary and work together
to improve data collection.
❯ Do I need my own domain to use Facebook integrations?
It depends on the integration. A custom domain is required
for domain verification and for using the Conversions
API. However, the Facebook Pixel can be used without
a custom domain.
❯ Can I configure these integrations on pages that have not been published yet?
No. Pages must be published so that Facebook can access
them, verify domains, and properly track events.
❯ Do I need to install the Facebook Pixel on all pages?
No, it’s not required. The Pixel only collects data on
the pages where the code has been added. If you want
to track metrics across multiple pages, you’ll need to
add it individually to each one.
❯ What should I do if the Facebook Pixel is not tracking events?
Some simple adjustments usually solve this issue. Check if:
The script was correctly inserted in the page’s
Head section.
The page is published and not just saved as a draft.
The code was not added more than once.
There are no extra spaces before or after the code.
The browser is not showing a cached version of the
page (try accessing it in an incognito tab).
After fixing these points, events should start being
tracked normally.
❯ What should I do if Conversions API events do not appear in Events Manager?
If this happens, check if:
The access token and
dataset ID were copied correctly.
The page is published.
There are no extra spaces in the fields filled in
Hotmart Pages.
After that, access the page again and check the
Test events section in Meta’s Events
Manager.
❯ What can cause duplicate events when using the Facebook Pixel?
Duplicate events may occur when:
The Pixel code was added more than once on the same page.
The same event was configured both in the code and
through Facebook’s event setup tool.
The page has URL variations that trigger the same event.
To avoid this, keep the base code added only once and
configure each event in a single place.
❯ What can cause duplicate events when using the Conversions API?
Duplication may happen when:
The same event is sent by both the API and the Pixel
without proper deduplication setup in Facebook.
The event was configured more than once using different
integrations or datasets.
The dataset ID entered in Hotmart Pages does not
match the dataset configured in Events Manager.
Reviewing these settings helps prevent duplicate records.
