When creating a page in Hotmart Pages, you can customize the address (URL) to make it easier for your audience to access and to keep your communication clear and aligned with your brand. Adjusting the URL helps better identify the page content and avoids generic or unintuitive addresses.
In this article, you’ll learn what a URL is, which elements make it up, and how to customize your page address in Hotmart Pages—either during editing or at the time of publishing.
What is a URL and how does it work?
A URL is the address typed into a browser to access a page on the internet. In Hotmart Pages, this address is formed by combining several elements that together direct the visitor to a specific page.
In general, a URL is composed of:
- Domain, which is the main website address, such as yourbrand.hotmart.host or yourbrand.com.
- Subdirectory, also called a path, which indicates the route to a specific page, such as /signup, /home, or /thankyou.
In some cases, the URL may also include a subdomain, as in addresses like courses.yourbrand.com or yourbrand.hotmart.host. These elements form the full page address.
Some examples of possible URLs in Hotmart Pages are:
- yourbrand.hotmart.host/freecourse
- yourbrand.com/ebook
- courses.yourbrand.com/home

What to do after customizing the page URL?
After changing the page address, it’s important to take a few steps:
- Update all places where the old URL was shared, such as social media, ads, and external pages.
- Check if the new URL is working correctly before promoting it again.
These actions help prevent broken links and ensure a good experience for visitors..
