How to send messages to affiliates?

Affiliate Chat is a Hotmart tool that makes communication between Creators and Affiliates easier without the need to use external apps or platforms.

With this tool, you can start one-on-one conversations, send broadcasts to multiple affiliates at the same time, share images and links, and organize your communication using filters.

What is Affiliate Chat?

Affiliate Chat was designed to make communication between Creators and Affiliates simpler and centralized within Hotmart.

In addition to exchanging messages in real time, the tool allows you to share images and hyperlinks, send announcements to multiple affiliates simultaneously, and segment your communication using filters, helping you maintain a more organized relationship with your partners.

How do I start a conversation with an Affiliate?

Before you can receive messages from an Affiliate, you need to start the conversation. The communication channel will only become available after you send the first message, allowing that Affiliate to reply directly through the Chat.

❯ To start a conversation

Log in to your Hotmart account.
From the left-hand menu, click Partnerships > Chat with Affiliates.
Click New conversation (the + icon).
Select the Affiliate you want to talk to.
Enter the subject and your message. If you'd like, you can also add images or hyperlinks.
Click Send.

Important: Every conversation must be initiated by the Creator. Until the first message is sent, the Affiliate won't be able to contact you through this channel.

How do I send a message to multiple Affiliates at the same time?

If you'd like to announce something new, share materials, or send guidance to multiple Affiliates, you can use a Broadcast List.

Unlike a group chat, each message is delivered individually to each recipient. This means Affiliates can't see one another or reply in a shared conversation.

❯ To create a broadcast

Go to Partnerships > Chat with Affiliates.
Click New broadcast (the megaphone icon).
Select the Affiliates who will receive the message.
Enter the broadcast title and message. You can also include images and hyperlinks.
Click Send broadcast.

How do I use filters to segment my Affiliates?

When creating a broadcast, you can use filters to choose exactly which Affiliates will receive your message.

Filters allow you to segment your communication based on the audience you want to reach. They can be used individually or combined, making your messages more targeted.

After applying the filters, you can also manually remove specific contacts before sending the broadcast. This ensures that only the intended Affiliates receive your message.

How do I allow my team members to use Affiliate Chat?

If other members of your team also need to communicate with Affiliates, you can grant them access through the Collaborators Center.

❯ To configure access

Log in to your Hotmart account.
Go to Tools > Manage your business.
Open the Collaborators Center.
Click Add collaborator.
Enter the name and email address of the person you want to add.
In the permissions step, locate the Partnerships section and enable Chat with Affiliates.
Click Invite collaborator to finish.

After accepting the invitation, the collaborator will be able to use the Chat according to the permissions you've granted.
