What payment methods are available for purchasing on Hotmart?

At Hotmart we are constantly working to adapt our services to a global level. This includes offering a variety of payment methods available on the platform, making the purchasing process easy for all buyers, regardless of their location.

Our platform provides more than 20 payment methods, reaching buyers in over 180 countries. This means that an increasing number of people around the world have access to the digital products offered on Hotmart.

Global Payment Methods

Credit Card

One of the most popular and widely accepted payment methods. With it, buyers can make online payments quickly and securely, and can also use it as a payment method for subscription plans and Smart Installments.
To make a purchase using a credit card, it will be necessary to fill in some details, such as the card number, cardholder's name, expiration date, and CVV. If you have doubts about filling in the data, we recommend consulting this article.

Debit Card

Available in some countries in Latin America, North America, and Europe, the debit card is a practical option for those who prefer to deduct the purchase amount directly from their bank account.
To make a purchase using a debit card, it will be necessary to fill in some details, such as the card number, cardholder's name, expiration date, and CVV.

PayPal

PayPal is a digital payment platform that allows users to perform online transactions securely, using a variety of methods, including PayPal balance, credit, and debit cards. It is another method widely used in subscription plans and Smart Installments. However, it is important to keep the card updated on the PayPal platform so that recurrences are correctly debited.
When choosing to pay with PayPal, the buyer will be redirected to the platform page, where they will need to log in and make the payment.

Google Pay

Available for transactions on our platform in most parts of the world, Google Pay is a digital wallet that allows users to make payments with their Android devices.
When choosing to pay with Google Pay, the buyer will be redirected to the platform page, where they will need to log in and make the payment.

Two Credit Cards

Our platform also makes it possible to make a purchase using two credit cards. The option to buy with two cards is a solution for situations where the buyer prefers not to use the entire limit available on just one card, distributing the cost more flexibly between two payment sources.
When choosing to pay with two cards, the buyer must enter the amount to be deducted from each card on the payment page. Then fill in the details for each card and finalize the purchase.
With this method, only one invoice will be generated for the purchase. The amounts debited from each card will only be available for consultation on each card's statement.

Apple Pay (United States)

Apple Pay is a digital wallet that allows users to make payments with their Apple devices. With it, users can make online purchases using just their iPhone or Apple Watch.

PayPal Credit (United States)

PayPal Credit is a method for buyers who don't have enough credit card limit. It functions like a microcredit where the buyer can pay off in several installments, making it possible to make online purchases. This method is also available in the United Kingdom.
When choosing to pay with PayPal Credit, the buyer will be redirected to the platform page, where they must log in and make the payment.

Venmo (United States)

Venmo is a digital wallet from PayPal, allowing payments with the Venmo balance, or a registered credit or debit card, in just a few clicks, directly from a computer or smartphone.
When choosing to pay with Venmo, the buyer will be redirected to the platform page, where they must log in and make the payment.

Pay in 4 (United States)

Pay in 4 is a PayPal solution that allows buyers to split their online purchases into four equal payments, paid every two weeks, without fees. The goal is to offer payment flexibility, allowing users to better manage their cash flow without incurring additional costs.
When choosing to pay with Pay in 4, the buyer will be redirected to the platform page, where they must log in and complete the payment.

 

Exclusive Payment Methods of Latin America

OXXO (Mexico)

OXXO is a payment method in Mexico and functions like a bank slip. Upon confirming the purchase on the payment page, a bank slip will be generated for the buyer to pay at any OXXO store.
However, be aware: there is an expiration period for making the payment. Therefore, it's important to check the expiration date printed on the bank slip to prevent it from expiring.

SPEI (Mexico)

SPEI enables money transfers between different banks in Mexico. It's widely used for online payments and direct bank transfers.
When choosing to pay with SPEI, a payment code will be generated after the purchase confirmation. Completing the payment grants the buyer access to the product.

Mercado Pago (Mexico)

Part of the Mercado Libre ecosystem, Mercado Pago is a digital wallet offering a platform for online payments, allowing users to load funds, make and receive payments.
When choosing to pay with Mercado Pago, the buyer will be redirected to the platform page, where they must log in and complete the payment.

Hybrid: Card + OXXO (Mexico)

With the hybrid payment option between a credit card and OXXO, the buyer decides how much to split between the two payment methods. This option suits those who prefer to split expenses, paying a part with credit and the other in cash with a bank slip.
When choosing for the hybrid model, the buyer will indicate the amounts they prefer to pay with each method. After filling in the card details, they must finalize the purchase for the bank slip to be generated. Completing the full payment before the bank slip's expiration is crucial for the purchase to be validated.

PSE (Colombia)

PSE is a platform that allows Colombians to make online payments directly from their bank accounts, facilitating transactions without credit cards.
When selecting this method, the buyer chooses their preferred bank and is redirected to the PSE website to make the payment.

Efecty (Colombia)  

Efecty is a payment method in Colombia and functions like a bank slip. Upon confirming the purchase on the payment page, a bank slip will be generated for the buyer to pay at any of the service points spread across the country.
However, be aware: there is an expiration period for making the payment. Therefore, it's important to check the expiration date printed on the bank slip to prevent it from expiring.

Nequi (Colombia) 

Nequi is a digital bank in Colombia offering a mobile payment account for transfers, payments, and receiving money, using just an app.
When choosing to pay with Nequi, the buyer must provide their phone number, then will be directed to a page with a QR code for making the payment.

Bancolombia (Colombia)

Bancolombia is a payment method in Colombia offering various digital payment options and banking services, making online transactions easier for its customers.
When choosing to pay with Bancolombia, the buyer will select their bank and confirm the purchase. Afterward, they'll be redirected to the platform page, where they must log in and complete the payment.

Hybrid: Card + Efecty (Colombia)

With the hybrid payment option between a credit card and Efecty, the buyer decides how much to split between the two payment methods. This option suits those who prefer to divide expenses, paying a part with credit and the other in cash with a bank slip.
When choosing for the hybrid model, the buyer will indicate the amounts they prefer to pay with each method. After filling in the card details, they must finalize the purchase for the bank slip to be generated. Completing the full payment before the bank slip's expiration is crucial for the purchase to be validated.

PagoEfectivo (Peru)

PagoEfectivo is a payment method used in Peru that allows users to pay for online purchases in cash, generating a CIP code that can be paid at various points of sale across the country.

Sencillito (Chile)

Sencillito is a payment method in Chile and functions like a bank slip. On the payment page, the buyer will access a code used to make the payment at a bank branch or via internet banking.

Servipag (Chile)

Servipag is a Chilean payment system offering payment services at physical points in various forms, including account debit, credit card, or cash.
When choosing to pay with Servipag, the buyer will be redirected to the platform page, where they must log in and complete the payment.

MACH (Chile)

MACH is a digital wallet used in Chile that allows online payments and money transfers between users, without the need for a bank account, using just an app.
When choosing to pay with MACH, a QR code will be automatically generated for the payment to be made.

 

Exclusive Payment Methods of Europe

Multibanco (Portugal)

Multibanco is a payment method used in Portugal that allows users to pay for online purchases at ATMs or through online banking. When choosing this method, a reference code will be generated for the payment.
However, be aware: there is an expiration period for making the payment. Therefore, it's important to check the expiration date.

MB WAY (Portugal)

MB WAY is a digital wallet available in Portugal that allows for instant transfers using just a mobile number and a smartphone.
When choosing to pay with MB WAY, the buyer must provide their mobile number. After doing so, a notification will arrive on their smartphone detailing the purchase and indicating which card will be charged. This notification will offer the options to accept or decline the payment, and access to the purchase will only be granted after confirmation.

SeQura (Spain)

SeQura is a payment method available in Spain that allows buyers to receive products before payment, in addition to installment options without the need for a credit card. When choosing to pay with SeQura, the buyer must fill out their details and confirm the purchase. After confirmation, a new platform page will automatically open with payment plan options, and the buyer will need to choose their preference.

BACS (United Kingdom)

BACS is an electronic payment method in the United Kingdom used for direct transactions.
When choosing to pay with BACS, the buyer must fill out a form with their full name, account number, and a Sort Code (a banking identifier used in the UK).

PayPal Credit (United Kingdom)

PayPal Credit is a method for buyers who don't have sufficient credit card limits. It acts as a microcredit where the buyer can settle in several installments, enabling online purchases. This method is also available in the United States. When choosing to pay with PayPal Credit, the buyer will be redirected to the platform page, where they must log in and make the payment.

SEPA (European Union)

SEPA facilitates euro payments between European Union countries, applying the same cost to transactions as a domestic operation, both for bank transfers and direct debits. When choosing to pay via SEPA on our platform, the buyer will need to provide their full name, followed by the IBAN code.

Klarna Pay Now/SOFORT (European Union)

Klarna is an online payment method available in several European Union countries. It allows users to make direct payments using their online banking information, without the need for a credit card or to create an account. When choosing to pay with Klarna, the buyer will be redirected to the platform page, where they must log in and make the payment.

 

Exclusive Payment Methods of Brazil

Pix

Pix is an instant payment method from Brazil that allows for quick and secure money transfers and payments at any time. When choosing to pay via Pix, the buyer can opt to pay through a QR code or a Pix copy-and-paste code. It's very important to complete the process fully for the purchase to be validated.

Boleto

The boleto bancário is a widely used payment method in Brazil, allowing transactions without the need for a bank account. It works as a bank slip that can be paid at banks, and even online, up until the established due date. However, be aware: there is an expiration period for making the payment. Therefore, it's important to check the due date printed on the boleto to prevent it from expiring.

Boleto Parcelado (Parcelex)

Boleto Parcelado, or Parcelex, is a payment method that allows consumers to split their online purchases into several installments without the need for a credit card. It works as a flexible credit alternative, letting the buyer choose the number of installments that best fits their budget. When choosing to pay with Parcelex, the buyer will need to fill out a form with personal details and request a credit check. If approved, the buyer can select an upfront payment amount and the number of installments they wish to pay for the product. Finally, they will be redirected to the Parcelex platform, where they must make the upfront payment (if any) and submit their documents. Completing the process fully is crucial for the purchase to be validated. 

Hotmart Balance

If you are a buyer as well as a creator or affiliate, you can use the available funds from your commission balance to acquire a product. When choosing to pay with the Hotmart balance, the buyer must log into the platform and then access it through our app. Upon opening the app, they should click on the profile icon and select the QR code option. Then, they must point the camera at the generated code and confirm the payment.

Hybrid: Card + Pix

With the hybrid payment option between a credit card and Pix, the buyer decides how much to allocate to each of the two payment methods. This is an option for those who prefer to split expenses, paying part with credit and the other part through instant transfer. When choosing to pay with the hybrid model, the buyer will inform the amounts they prefer to pay with each method. After filling in the card details, they must finalize the purchase so that the QR code and Pix code are generated. Completing the full payment before the Pix code's expiration is crucial for the purchase to be validated.

 

Specific Cases: Argentina and Venezuela

Argentina

For our clients in Argentina, it's important to be aware of changes in the regulations of the Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA), which alter the deadlines for international remittances and impact the settlement of transactions. Below is a list of payment methods that, due to the new rules, are no longer available in Argentina:

  • Credit or debit cards not issued by Argentine banks;
  • International bank accounts, even if located in Argentina;
  • Pago Fácil, for cash payments;
  • Mercado Pago, as a digital wallet option;
  • Naranja, Cabal, American Express, Diners Club, and CRM cards.

Venezuela
