In some Hotmart products, you can complete your purchase using two credit cards.
This option can be useful when the available limit on a single card is not enough to complete the purchase or when you prefer to split the amount between two different cards.
In this article, you’ll learn how payment with two cards works and how to complete your purchase if this option has been enabled by the product creator.
How does payment with two cards work?
The two-card payment option lets you split the total purchase amount between two different credit cards.
At checkout, you can choose how much will be charged to each card and enter the details for both payment methods to complete the transaction.
Important: This payment method depends on a setting configured by the product creator. For this reason, the option may not be available on all payment pages.
How can I make a purchase using two cards?
If the option is available on the product payment page, follow these steps:
- Access the payment page for the product you want to buy.
- Fill in your personal information as usual.
- In the payment step, select the “Two cards” option.
- Enable the use two cards option.
- Enter the amount that will be charged to each card.
- Fill in the details for the first credit card.
- Then, fill in the details for the second card.
- Choose the number of installments for each card, if this option is available.
- Review the information and complete your purchase.
After both cards are approved, the purchase will be completed as usual.
When might the option to pay with two cards not appear?
The two-card payment option depends on the settings defined by the product creator. For this reason, it may not be available on some payment pages.
In addition, this payment method is not available for:
- subscription products;
- offers with Order Bump;
- offers with Automatic Recovery enabled.
- purchases made in Mexico and Colombia.
What happens if one of the cards doesn’t approve the payment?
To complete the purchase, both cards must approve the transaction.
If one of the payments is not authorized, the purchase will not be completed. In this case, we recommend that you:
- check whether the card details were entered correctly;
- check whether there is available limit;
- try using another card;
- contact the bank responsible for the card to understand the reason for the declined payment.
