What's the difference between Alternative Pages and Dynamic Alternative Pages?
Before you start configuring your account, it's essential to understand how each feature impacts your affiliate's journey. While both expand promotion options, they function differently within the platform:
- Alternative Pages: These are additional links. This means that as a creator, you select a specific URL (like a promotional plan's checkout page) and create the link on the platform. Your affiliates just need to log into their accounts and copy the link you've provided.
- Dynamic Alternative Pages: These work in a decentralized way. Instead of registering each address individually, you authorize your main domain (e.g., yourwebsite.com).
- Once authorized, your affiliates have the autonomy to visit your website, choose any internal subpage that drives conversions, and generate their own custom tracking Hotlink.
How do I create an Alternative Page for my affiliates?
To set up an Alternative Page, follow these steps:
- Log into your Hotmart account: https://app.hotmart.com
- In the left sidebar menu, click Products and then My Products.
- Under the I'm a Creator tab, click the desired product and go to Promotion Links (Hotlinks).
- In the top menu of the links page, click the Additional links tab.
- Click the Create additional link button.
- Fill in the Link name field with a clear description so your affiliates can easily identify the destination (e.g., Checkout with 20% Discount).
- In the URL field, paste the page's URL.
- Click the Create promotion link button to finish and make the link available to your affiliates.
How do I enable a domain for Dynamic Pages?
To enable your domain and activate this tool, follow these steps:
- Log into your Hotmart account: https://app.hotmart.com
- In the left sidebar menu, click Products and then My Products.
- Find the product you want to configure.
- Inside the product menu, go to Tools.
- Find and select Dynamic pages from the list of available tools.
- Click the Make domain available button.
- Enter your website or blog URL in the designated field, making sure to include the correct security protocol used by your server (e.g., https://yourwebsite.com).
- Click Add domain to save. Your link is now ready!
How does tracking work for multiple offers or coupons?
Hotmart’s tracking system relies on cookies placed in the buyer's browser the moment they click an affiliate's Hotlink. For example, if you have a page that features both a Basic Plan and a Premium Plan, the cookie will record the affiliate's referral as soon as the user visits the site.
If the customer decides to purchase any of the offers configured for that product using the buttons on that page, the system will read the cookie at checkout and accurately distribute the commission.
