What is the Temperature of a product?

Temperature is an indicator used by Hotmart to symbolically represent how a product is performing on the platform. This indicator helps creators and affiliates understand a product’s level of activity and market acceptance.

In this article, you’ll learn how temperature works, which factors influence this indicator, and where to view product temperature in the Affiliate Marketplace.

How does product temperature work?

All products registered on Hotmart start with a low temperature. As sales happen over time, this temperature may gradually increase, reaching up to 150 degrees.

Temperature is calculated automatically by the platform based on different criteria related to product performance.

Some of the factors analyzed include:

  • sales frequency;
  • product performance;
  • blueprint;
  • refund rate;
  • among other internal platform indicators.

What is temperature used for?

Temperature helps creators track the performance of their products on the platform.

In addition, it also works as an analysis criterion for affiliates who are looking for products to promote in the Affiliate Marketplace.
